7/2 4.5 @ 12:42 treadmill
7/3 4.5 @ 13:58
7/4 5 @ 11:54 treadmill
7/6 4 @ 12:00 treadmill
7/8 5.5 @ 11:42 treadmill
7/9 6.5 @ 11:41 treadmill
7/10 3 @ 10:47 treadmill (good time for me!)
7/11 2.5 @ 12:54
7/13 3.5 @ 11:55/15 splits (half was walking with friends)
7/14 3.75 @ 12:40 treadmill
7/15 6.25 @ 13:40
7/16 2 @ 15:00 (walking with friends)
7/17 4.25 @ 13:41
7/18 4.75 @ 13:24
7/20 5.25 @ 11:57 treadmill
7/21 3.5 @ 12:12 treadmill
7/22 7.25 @ 13:54 (my fastest mile was 12:51--on a blacktop path. The gravel felt especially loose today, otherwise...or maybe it was just me, lol.)
7/23 1.5 on the treadmill @ 13:00 ; I was in so much pain...so I went swimming after doing arms. Felt much better!
7/24 4.5 @ 12:29 (a good time outdoors for me!)
7/25 3.5 @ 12:03 --an experiment running outdoors on pavement vs. the normal gravel lake run. I was definitely faster! But my trail shoes were also completely insufficient and my arches were quite painful by the end of the run and into Sunday (a rest day). Today I got new inserts for the trail shoes, but I won't make the mistake of wearing them on pavement again!
7/27 3.5 at 10:55 on the treadmill, since it was really muggy/rainy this am!
7/28 3.5 at 11:11 on the treadmill (and a butt-kicking strength training day, but not *all* legs, lol!)
7/29 5.0 at 12:48 in soup this morning. I was trying an interval program, but found I couldn't hear it at all when on the main roads. I followed this up with an even soupier hike at a local state park with the kiddos for 2.25 at 20:50.
7/30 4.5 at 12:18 on the most boring road ever. I will be so glad when this humidity breaks.
104.25/100 for the month0 -
3 miles today, think that puts me at 41 miles for the month.0

Did some treadmill work earlier in the day due to rain and ended up doing a long 5 mile fartlek for my final speedwork session tonight as there were just too many flooded streets for doing any type of regular distance interval. Done!

Finishing off the month with 8 miles of hills. While I could do another 8 tomorrow to hit my goal I am not going to do that because tomorrow is a scheduled rest day ahead of back to back long runs. So I came up 8 miles short...but I'm still happy because 192 miles is still my highest ever monthly mileage.

Today's run was not great. The first 5 miles were fine and then the humidity got the better of me. I was sick to my stomach but didn't throw up, but it was a close call and my legs just felt like logs - so tired. Tomorrow I have early meetings until just before lunch so I have decided to call it a rest day. I may still change my mind if I get up super early but not likely at this point. I did make it to 100 though!

So much for my injury. After significant improvement since Tuesday, I felt I could test out my calf this evening. I had some minor pain throughout the day but I noticed it was worse after inactivity, such as sitting at my desk. So off I went, on a beautiful warm, but dry, evening. I ended up with 3.7 painless miles and would have gone longer but I had my dog with me and didn't want him running any more in the temps we had.
Oddly since that run I've had NO pain at all. Tomorrow morning should be 64 degrees and I'll be out there with Kody once again, going for 5.2 miles to hit 100 for the month.

Well, I almost finished my first challenge. I'll take it. 28.5/30. I accomplished a hell of a lot this month, though. Ran my first uninterrupted mile and my first uninterrupted two miles. I'm pleased. thanks for all the motivation guys!!0
-
Congrats on meeting your goals, everyone! I started my week with some raging poison ivy, but squeaked out another seven the past couple of days. I'm at 88.5/80. Naturally I'm going to have to run a few more miles tonight now.
