What is wrong with my foot?

I'm a runner, shoes are quite new and cushioned. My right ankle is sore, but only mildly so and I've continued to run. Most of the time I can't feel any soreness at all, but sometimes the area above my heel is tender on the back of my leg only. If I point and straighten my foot, I can feel the muscle moving and it doesn't feel like the other foot at the moment!

I've tried a few running injury websites but it isn't anything like as bad as they suggest! Any ideas?

It is probably a mild case of tendonitis. If that is the case then ice it daily and it will eventually go away. My podiatrist told me that if pain like that gets less as you warm up and run then it is safe to keep running on it. If it gets worse the further you run then you should stop and get it evaluated.
