Water does help!

I began carrying a bottle of ice cold water around all the time. I found myself drinking it constantly throughout the day instead of munching on food. I felt fuller before I ate and would eat small portions of food. One week in and I lost 2 lbs !! Now I am starting to go to the gym as well. :)

    I keep a big jug of water at my desk. In addition to keeping me hydrated and stopping snacking, getting up to pee every 30 minutes totally accounts for an extra 1000 steps a day, I reckon!

    On my desk I keep a 32 oz plastic mug full of water and a 12 oz mug full of unsweetened tea or black coffee. It helps a lot.

    I'm starting to get fed up with all this peeing though. I live in the city too and I'm constantly looking for a place that has a public bathroom.
