Hi everyone. I'm 27 and the largest I've ever been at 245 lbs. I used to work out a lot before March 2015 when I experienced the most irritating neuralgia and temporary nerve damage on the left side of my body for about two weeks, coupled with muscle fatigue and weakness. I realized recently that I must've been depressed as I quickly gained the weight I lost and then some. My body still isn't 100 percent as I still experience muscle weakness, but I must get back on the road to weight loss since my life depends on it - doctors told me that if I don't lose the weight, that nerve damage will eventually become permanent due to the amount of weight on my bones.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to tell my entire story but I realized all the more that I cannot do this alone. :'(

You are in the right place for support. Physical limitations can be very frustrating, but I have seen a lot of success stories on here from people who have just changed their diet by simply eating foods they like in moderation, counting calories and maybe added some easy walking as their bodies could handle it. You can do this- keep coming back, keep logging, keeping reading the forums for inspiration and motivation. One thing that I've noticed of those who achieved success- they never give up no matter how long it takes.

I was losing weight and doing so good before I got pregnant with my third kid. But, after I gave birth my bones were hurting so bad and my ligaments got weak. No idea why. So, I gained a bunch of weight because I never got to workout from pain. But, slowly I think the pain is going away and I'm back at it again, 2 1/2 years later. Medical issues can really damper fitness and health. But, keep at it, even if it's slow. Maybe in time you can do more. Just don't quit.
