40lbs down, 80lbs to go. This year I have become vegan, quit smoking, started running, trusted myself a little more, tried foods I never thought I would love, created more, made love more passionately, felt a building confidence, and allowed myself to be okay in my skin. I am literally a million miles from the woman I was in 2014.

I struggle with the need for instant gratification, and wanting to see the number go down on the scale every morning. I have difficulty allowing myself to take a break from exercising after work. I want to lose 120lbs, and I want to see the difference sooner.

I must love myself, and accept that my body is still losing, even if it's only 2-4lbs a week. A million miles are often covered using a million baby steps. That's how I got here, 40lbs down, and 80lbs more to go.
