NROLFW boredom?

I just snagged a copy of the book and I keep hearing how boring the first 6-8 weeks are. What's your experience if you've done it before? And if you found it boring at first did you find the results to be worth the repetitive nature? I'm not new to lifting but have always sort of done my own thing or followed something free online.
I'm wanting to recomp so I'm hopeful for insight or suggestions to maybe something "better". Looking to start Monday!

I didn't find the first stage boring but I had just finished 12 weeks of Stronglifts (which is the same main lifts the whole time) so maybe I have a higher threshold for "boring." I also listen to music and sometimes, when not worried about form or rep counting (so when resting) I think about novel ideas. *shrugs* Check out the groups as well. Some actually find NROLFW too jumpy as it moves around a lot and past stage 1 the stages change up at a faster pace, so they prefer one that does the same lifts at a more repetitive program. Preference will vary.0
