Banded Battle

I've been banded since last October and after the initial weight loss in the first couple of months, I stalled for several months and am now gaining. I've had several fills and at this point I'm so tight, it's difficult to take daily medication in the morning. I've realized that even though there are days that I don't eat much, what I do eat is way worse for me than I initially thought. I'm trying to keep an eye on that now, but I'm also trying to identify why I eat what I eat. I really need some nonjudgmental accountability, because the "support" I have nearby is very accusatory and they don't understand what is going on.

[if you have a weak stomach, you may not want to continue]

I started going to therapy a couple of weeks ago and I talked about some of the issues I've been having. I'm always throwing up, even if I just drink water too fast, I'll throw it up or have a very very painful and difficult time getting it down. If I'm not throwing up, I'm in fear of throwing up with everything I put in my mouth. I watched a video recently of a girl who had some of the same issues and ended up having her band taken out by choice.. and I'm starting to wonder if that's a choice I should make, too.

I have gained valuable knowledge from the band, especially with portion control, but when the easiest things to eat are the worst things to eat, just so I don't heave, it's not good. I know if I go to my parents about this they'll be very disappointed and disapproving, because they paid for the procedure, but I don't know what to do. I can't even eat a broccoli floret that's been cooked and cut to pieces without it coming up, and that's not okay!! ... Anyway. That's where I am now.

I'd like to hear from other people who are having these issues or have had them in the past. Where are you now with your weight loss/wls?

I'm a bandster too. I'm having many of the issues you are talking about my port is "floating lost" in me and non accessible, if I'm not having a "good day" I get stuck on water too! I'll add you and we can communicate about these issues and others if you'd like!

I think my port may be floating too, because he's had to "move it back" to where it was using the needle, which was not comfortable.
And yes, please feel free to message me! I'd love to talk more about this.
