I watch Dr Oz sometime not ofen. He speaks on how to lose weight. But is it all true or a $ maker? So many methods can't keep up with he talking about!

Dr. Oz is a quack who supports all kinds of schemes because it makes him money.
A calorie deficit is all you need to lose weight.

He is an utter quack who has completely sold out and only cares to make money.

Read this: Real-world doctors fact-check Dr. Oz, and the results aren't pretty. It took a 30 second Google to find evidence of his quackery.

    Snake oil salesman.

Every week he has another "miracle" weight loss food/pill/diet. Nobody wants to hear, "eat less, move more". He gives consumers what they want to hear.

If there was such a thing as a miracle weight loss product, Oprah wouldn't be fat.

    Hasn't Oprah even disavowed him?

    I think she did.

:) Thanks! I stole the general gist from someone (can't remember who) so feel free to steal it from me. It would be good if it was a common saying everywhere. Too many people suckered into fake "miracle" products.

Isn't there a disclaimer that whips by on the screen to say that the show is for "entertainment value" or some such nonsense, and to see your doctor for weight loss advice?

From what I understand, Dr. Oz is a cardiologist, and, once upon a time, was a well-regarded one.

Then he completely sold out and decided to turn his back on the oath that all physicians take, and hawk every product that would earn him a buck, whether or not it works, whether or not it's safe.

He must've missed that whole "First do no harm" thing.
