Bad streak..

I have had a bad streak for a couple of weeks now.. I found out my husbands hours were cut at his job and they are laying people off and I just started stress eating.. I gained 2 lbs already and I am worried.. I need some motivation to keep me on the right path.. I have lost a little over 20 lbs already and don't want to gain it all back.. I am diabetic, type 2 and don't want to be put on medicine.. I got my a1c down so far, but I will definitely go back up if I don't watch it.. My bad habit is chips and salty almonds and hummus and pita chips when I get stressed.. Salty stuff and carbs.. Not too many sweets, but I did have some double strawberry blue bunny ice cream.. I need to get back on track..

    I'm with ya sister. Lost like 26 then fell a little off track and then went to Mexico to an all inclusive resort and weighed myself when I got back and yikes it wasn't a good feeling looking at that scale. And I have soooo much weight to lose. Let me just say considering you've been off a track a couple weeks and only gained 2 lbs back is awesome. Stop now before it turns into 3,5,9,...15....try to spend some more time with your husband maybe going for walks together since he has a little more time now. I bet it's hard not to stress about the future and paying the bills but if you're getting by right now try to focus your energy elsewhere. Paint a room...visit a friend or family member you haven't seen in a while... Anything to distract yourself from stress and eating

    Don't buy it. Seriously, if oyu're having temptation problems, keep it out of the house.

    I'll demolish a bag of Stacy's and a big container of hummus BY MYSELF in 2 days. LOL.

    I'm sorry about what's going on at your husbands job, I too am a stress eater. You mention you have health issues so you already know getting healthy is the best thing you can do for yourself and your family. The last thing you need is the added expense of medicine so bypass the salty chips and try maybe to take a walk or go for a bike ride as an alternative stress relief. I know it's all easier said than done but since you've lost 20 lbs you've already prove you know what to do!! Let me know how I can help.
