Hey everyone! Looking for friends and support!

I've posted a little here and there so I figured I'd introduce myself.
I was at my heaviest 3 weeks ago. I honestly had no plans on changing until I took my 10 year old to a physical and realized he is following closely in my footsteps.
I felt ashamed that I led him down the overweight path and at such a younge age. The second we walked out of that appointment I decided to change things. For everyone. I knew the best place to start would be myself.
I'm proud to say I have lost 10 lbs so far and he has actually lost 6. He does the 30 day shred with me (as best as a 10 year old can lol) and we go hiking a few times a week as well as making better food choices.
He is my motivation. When I feel like not working out it means that my son won't either. That always makes me get off my butt lol
I am looking for friends to offer support and advice and I will do the same.
The more support we have the more successful we'll be

Hi there. I can support you. I am a biomedical scientist with expertise in health promotion. You can add me as a friend. Are you changing your diet? People make the mistake of exercising but not changing diet. You need to do both. Do you eat a lot of pre-made food? Fast food or restaurant food? If you want to maintain a healthy weight you need to change your eating habits for life. Extreme dieting us not successful long term because it's not sustainable. Best thing you can do is learn to cook and learn about nutrition. I can share my meals and recipes with you. When you learn to cook and eat healthy this will help your child establish good eating habits for life. If you eat fast food and premade food your child will likely continue these eating habits in the long term0
