Just wondering if anyone has used dandelion (or any other tea) as a detox type of drink. Does it work? I love tea and would love to see it help my weight loss journey!

It's a natural diuretic, so it will release water and make you pee a lot.
As for detoxing? There's not really any such thing: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1159755/looking-for-a-detox-cleanse0 -

I like it. For me, it didn't help with detox or bloating. I still drink it sometimes as a coffee substitute.0

Nope. It's just marketing from the people trying to sell you dandelion tea.
Weight loss is simply this:
Consume less calories than you burn.
Dandelion tea (without extra cals such as sugar) might be a tasty low/no cal way to enjoy water, but it's no miracle maker. Your body is not full of toxins (you'd be in the hospital on dialysis if it was) and unfortunately the only way food will help your weight loss journey, is if you consume less of it than you burn.

No because "detoxing" doesn't really exist. If there were REAL toxins in your body, you'd have to go to the emergency room to have them removed. This is terminology used to sell more tea.
The diet and fitness industry uses terminology to direct people to purchasing products or programs that don't hold up scientifically to study many many times. It's about profit. Nothing wrong with that, however if you don't want to be just one of those that contribute to their bank accounts, there's lots and lots of FREE correct info here on MFP to assist. Good luck.

I drink it most days. I never noticed a difference.0

I really like dandelion tea. But I drink it because it has a nice, rich flavor.0

It tastes like dirt, but as a natural diuretic, helps with water retention.0
