After 6 months of travel, the last 3 weeks in a one stoplight town with about 6 food options I'm heading to a big enough town to have a lot of major chains (and some local choices) and my favorite grocery store. Unfortunately, still no extended stay hotel with a kitchenette.

I'm sure this topic has come up but what are your favorite healthy options for:
Texas Roadhouse
Olive Garden
Ruby Tuesdays
Applebees
Chinese Food
Sushi
Mexican

whatever fits into my calorie/macro target for the day. I believe most of those chains have their menus online so that you should be able to look up the calorie content.

I would suggest logging what you want and then build the rest of your day around it.

i love it when i know where we are eating for lunch (usually our meal out)... then i can build around it, like nd said.

I think Ruby Tuesday has a salad bar.

Olive Garden - I have never been able to eat healthy there. It's my favorite indulgence. But they usually have a soup and salad thing. Check the calories in the dressing. I think they're not low.

Most steak places have a grilled chicken sandwich and veggies, so you could just get the chicken.

I would have fresh fruit, a variety of nuts, and chicken soup or chicken with veggies or chicken Salads. I would keep a cooler in the motel and have Greek or European yogurt as well. Dice up some Apple and add nuts. Steer away from the above restaurants and look for el pollo loco and chipolte for they use fresh ingredients and easiest to chose healthy meals
