Muscle strain in my hand

Hi everyone. The other day I was strength training my with my resistance band (basic exercises for the upper body) and just yesterday I noticed that the muscle (palm up, just under my thumb) my aching pretty bad. Today I woke up and my other hand is now hurting as well. Any idea as to what caused this? Could it have been from the strength training? I've never had this happen before. Are there any ways to "heal" this? TIA :)

Once the person who answered before me gives you advice, I would listen to that well before you listened to mine (since they seem to be a personal trainer), but make sure you have enough potassium in your system. I also notice that the muscle you are speaking about gets sore with too much computer time, strong Spring cleaning, or writing/drawing. It usually takes a day or two to fully show up and then the same to go away. Hope this helps:flowerforyou:

Oh, wow! Well, I am a typist (secretary). If that's the case though, why didn't this happen sooner? Thanks for responses
