Only 13 days before my first 10k!! Any last minute tips from more experienced runners?

I wouldn't say I'm experienced but I have recently broken the 10k barrier and ran my first 10k charity race last weekend.
Make sure you get your usual breakfast - I didn't as it was an early start so I scoffed a ham sandwich before the start and felt very sick at the end of the run.
Go to the toilet 10 mins before you have to gather - and again 5 minutes before!
Do a proper warm up - a good 5 mins of jumping jacks/skipping/high knees etc
Depending on the weather keep your warm up clothes on until the last minute
    Don't set off too fast
Don't get too frustrated if there are people in front of you who are slower and block the path - it's supposed to be fun!
Lift your head up and take it all in, don't just watch your feet. Your first race should be remembered and enjoyed. If you're like me, you're not running to win, just to take part and be a part of something special.
Make sure you know where to meet your friends and family at the end
Find out if there are drink stations so you don't have to carry a bottle unnecessarily
Don't forget a warm down. It's easy to get caught up in the buzz of finishing but do make sure you have a good stretch and poss a foam roll when you finish

And again - enjoy! good luck :)
