50 something newbie thats finally getting results

Hello I am new here and just recently started exercising regularly and logging my calorie intake. I have trying exercise before as well as cutting stuff out of my diet but nothing seemed to work much so I basically just gave up and took the opinion that it was a combination of my age and family genes that was the prob. I had decided I would have to live with it. That all changed with a recent work place injury and the resulting physio, I started to notice I was losing a bit while attending my rehab exercise program. As it happens I starting experimenting with MFP at while I was doing this and then I noticed it working even better. After I was recovered I added move exercise to my routines and long story short lose 17 lbs in 8 weeks. This last weekly weigh-in I didn't lose any so I might have to tweak things a bit more but overall I am pleased with the progress so far. Still a long way to go to get to my goal, another 30- 50 lbs but I think I can do it. Guess your never too old to start. Glad to be here and thanks for having me.
