Body weight strength training

Yes this is considered low impact body weight training. This would be a decent start to building a foundation for higher impact movements.0

Some body-weight, some stretching.
Push ups, planks, squats, lunges, pull ups (if you have a bar) are all good. Especially squats. Try to increase difficulty as you progress. For example, decline push ups, one-armed push ups, prisoner squats, one-legged squats, etc.0 -
I have started doing yoga and parts of it are definitely strength training. We do lots of lunges and squats, some planks and push ups. Not all of it is strength training--a lot of it is just good stretching and working on balance--but you do get some core and leg workout.0

Ashtanga yoga definitely requires a ton of strength with all of the single-leg and hand balancing.0
