I am in the market for some new shoes for my walks/jogging. Which ones do you like?

I am in love with the Salomon Women's XT Wings 3 W Trail Running Shoe http://www.salomon.com/us/product/xt-wings-3-w_outlets.html I walk on all kinds of terrain and these are great. They are also very supportive, super light weight, and the lacing system gives me the right compression to help prevent the arthritis in my foot from flaring up.

Are you going to actually be running? If so then buy a pair for running, and another pair (quite likely a different shoe) for everything else. Spending a lot of time walking in your running shoes will only cause them to wear out faster.

Asking for "favourite" shoes in a big forum won't get you anything other than what we like - whether those shoes are appropriate for you or not is worse than a crap shoot. I run sockless in ultra-lightweight minimalist zero drop Merrell Bare Access trail shoes on trails, and Merrell Bare Access 4 street shoes on streets. Quite probably these will be absolutely the wrong shoe for you but I'm running 100's of km a month in them. See how this works?

I also run in Nike Zoom Structures (a vastly different shoe than the Merrells) from time to time, and re-purpose older running shoes for walking; currently am finishing wearing out an old pair of Saucony for walking and kicking about.

Your best bet is to visit a good running speciality store, lay out your plans, and get their recommendations.
