Food scales

I'm going to buy a food scale on Friday when I get paid. Can I please have some recommendations? Also, should I weigh my food before or after cooking? I'm new to the food scale thing and I want to be as accurate as possible.
I currently weigh 146.2lbs and I'm looking to get down to 120lbs. I've already lost 1.8lbs since Wednesday, which I realize is just water weight, but it's still nice to see the scale go down!

I have the Surpahs Touch, ordered it on Amazon. I love it...it's very accurate down to small increments and the tare feature works well.0

I've tried several and OXO is far and away my favorite. You can put a plate on it and still read the display without squinting or bending. No acrobatics required!
It works well and is easy to read. Can't ask for more!0
