Going on a holiday, need some advice please!

Hello everyone,
I've been working out and eating well for about a month now and I'm about to go on a week long trip with my boyfriend to visit his family. I know that probably the only exercise I'll be able to get in is some walking, stretching, and some ab workouts that I can do right when I wake up. It'll be a LOT less intense then what I do when I'm at home and for a lot less time in a day. Also, I'm going to try my best to eat healthy but the only food I'm going to have access to is what they serve to us. I'm just worried that my entire month of hard work is going to go down the drain and when I get back I'm not going to have the muscle I have now. How long does it take for muscle and endurance to deteriorate? Will I be okay in the week I'm gone? Any advice would be appreciated!

Do you have any reason to believe that what they will serve you will be bad for you? according to your ticker you have been together for a while, I'm sure his family will be supportive of your weight loss goal.
My advice is if you are close to his family, talk to them, tell them what you are doing and give them the chance to be supportive.
Some tricks which might work:
-take a smaller plate and use that for your dinner meal...your plate will look fuller with less food and you will eat less
-fill 2/3 of your plate with veggies
-protein portion size should be no bigger than the palm of your hand
-Water, water, water!!
-go for walks as much as possible (walk the dog, go with his mom/dad/siblings or him for a little alone time)
-anything can be used as a weight (discreetly grab a couple soup cans and work them into your morning routine)
-think about what you are eating...the fact you are on this website tells me you are already doing that...keep it up
Good luck!0 -
Thanks for the tips, I'll definitely keep them in mind =]
I don't think they'll be serving anything extremely unhealthy or anything, but because he only gets to visit his family once every year or so, they tend to make special dinners, which usually consist of seafood and LOTS of potatoes lol.0
