This guy told me that I was better off doing onlycardio instead of lifting heavy to lose weight.....I had to laugh (and inwardly shook my head because I clearly knew more about exercise and nutrition than this dude). I may be a noob to lifting and good nutrition but as it wrong I was inwardly proud that I knew I was right?!

Good for you for knowing the difference, i've had people tell me that as well and I have told them straight that they are wrong. Other times I just shake my head then do the exact opposite of what they told me. I've had one guy tell me that I was going to bulk up doing so many weights, I just told him it's what I want to do. Sometimes, it can be tough being a women and a weight lifter...lol.0

I was told that I should do more cardio than weight lifting if I wanted to see any results. Which I was inclined to believe at first. But all the resources I've read seem to say otherwise. This woman was a body builder at one point (I've seen photos - she's legit).0
