I've done weight watchers but do not have the bucks for it! I hope this forum and pal will give me the motivation I need.

I find it challenging after a long work day and commuting to get the 50 min cardio sessions. Any hints new friends?

    Welome! I am also a WW but don't have the time to go in to sit for a meeting. This works for tracking my food and keeping me in check. I find that WW was always trying to push something to buy. I figure I just need to use my own self control in the end it is me who is accountable.

    I work out in the mornings- getting up earlier than my husband to get my walks in (walking and swimming are what I am doing for now). That way I make sure I have plenty of time and have it out of the way as daily life starts to happen. Welcome to MFP!!

    Thanks for the advice! I thnk that's just a sacrifice I need to do-course working at 8am....I am not a 5am-er. Unless it's a walk that coudl work . Cheers, keep on keeping on!

    Hello and welcome. I hate to exercise. Years ago I would walk in the evenings but it would be so hot. A friend and I started walking but again in the evening was really miserable. We decided to walk in the morning before work. I have to be at work at 7:30am. I set my alarm for 5:30 and we walk 2 miles, 3 times a week. I dread it the night before thinking"I don't want to get up 30 minutes earlier". In the morning, I'm up BEFORE the alarm goes off! And thisis what is weird....I LOVE it. I miss it on days when it rains and we can't walk.

    Get yourself a walking pal, roll out of bed and put your shoes on. It's really not that bad.
