Eat a Banana instead of Banana Muffin.

Back again. After an overdue hiatus. I've heard this from many health practitioners. Even though a banana is high in sugar it doesn't contain all the other ingredients a banana muffin does. Natural is better.

But...but...banana muffins are so good! Especially with walnuts. I make a really good banana bread.
Moderation is best. Exclusion and making particular foods off-limits is a recipe for failure.0 -
Um.. what? No.. just no.0

I mill my own flour and use other very natural ingredients in my muffins thankyouverymuch.
I do have some overly ripe bananas that need to be made into a delicious muffin or loaf, so thanks for the idea!0 -
So if you follow this one rule, good things happen? Or?0

This reminds me, I need a muffin pan.0

Sometimes a banana is the right choice. Sometimes it's not. I get the point of this advice, but it's just way too general.0

banana, banana muffin, makes no difference to me. whatever is good at the time0

Don't tell me how to live my life.0

I'll eat what I want. Stop telling me what to eat. I think I'm going to stuff a full banana into a banana muffin and eat it. That sounds delicious, actually.
Fine.

Try Healthy Cookies from Skinnytaste.com...mashed overripe banana and oats baked. That's it unless you want to add nuts or chocolate chips (which I always do). They taste just like banana bread but are a lot healthier...best of both worlds :-). They freeze well but do not keep at room temp for more than a few days because of the amount of moisture. I bake a bunch and put them in the freezer divided into smaller batches to take out one at a time.0

Mmm.... think I might try and fit a banana muffin into my calories tomorrow. Even with a minor allergy, they're delish.0

Time for a banana muffin!!0

banana muffins are a great way to avoid wasting bananas when you bought too much and they are overripe. With just the right ingredients, they can be very healthy and way more filling than just the banana so I end up snacking less after my breakfast - less calories overall. So I'll keep making my muffins.0

Eh, I get what you're saying. Certainly less fat & calories in an actual banana than banana muffin, but I love banana walnut muffins. Also, I recently had a bad food poisoning experience with bananas, so I'm going to go with the muffins for awhile.0 -
wat?
....so if I make my own banana muffins with "natural" ingredients, it's still worse than the banana? I'm confused.0 -
I should make banana muffins this weekend.0

*Is literally half way though making banana, peanutbutter and cacao nibs ice-cream* It's not a muffin, but does that mean I can't have my yummy goodness...?0 -

This plus egg white to thin it just a bit makes a good pancake. I ate it for breakfast this morning.

I'll eat whatever fits into my macros that day, thank you.
Sometimes I eat things even if they don't fit my macros - gasp!

Do you know, the muffin pan?
In all honesty, if a banana muffin fits my macros for the day, I'm choosing that over the banana.0 -
Which reminds me; this is my latest purchase.
They peel off like a dream. Hubby really likes them. He likes what I bake in them even better.0 -
bananas can kill you. Very high potassium and you could slip on the skin. A very dangerous and misunderstood fruit.0
