In my household we are heavy food eaters....white rice.... beans.. meats... desserts etc.... lots of Spanish food. I have to get use to the boring taste of everything I am not use to!!! Pretty sure I will eventually be ok.0

If you're making yourself eat things you don't like, you're not going to stick with this for very long.... You can keep eating the foods you like, just eat an amount of it that fits in your calorie goal. Perhaps find ways to reduce the calories so you can have a larger portion.0

By all means, you can eat flavorful, filling, and fun foods while staying healthy and not consuming any calorie bombs! I encourage you to browse the recipe page, join a few recipe groups, etc. You'd be surprised what some vinegar and spices can do to any meal! You can definitely find a lot of spanish inspired dishes, and some that include rice, beans, etc., which aren't horrible foods!0 -
That looks really really good.0

I don't understand why you have to give up Spanish food ? The mediterranian diet is very healthy if you really stick to Spanish food ( which means almost no dessert, because the Spanish only eat it on special occasions ). Beans are very healthy. You also don't have to give up rice, or lentils ( which are staples of the Spanish diet ) and you can eat smaller amounts of meat ( as do most Spaniards, because they can't afford large amounts of meat ).
I would say that if you adjust the typical Spanish diet to fit in your calorie deficit, you will be eating healthier than many people. Also, if the other foods you prepare taste boring to you it is most likely, because you cook them in boring ways. Imo all food can be prepared so it tastes exiting.
