Why is it so hard to get started?

Specifically, what were your barriers to taking those first steps toward weight loss and how did you get beyond them?

    The first few weeks - I forced it. I put a side the excuses (and became hyper-aware of them) and just did what I had to do to succeed.

    Hindsight - it was not really THAT HARD. Using measuring cups, a food scale and reading nutrition labels is not hard.
