I made my first green tea smoothie tonight. Wow was that good and refreshing. Would have never thought to use green tea as the base in a smoothie. Blended...
  • 8 fl ounces chilled green tea
  • 1 ounce spinach
  • 1/2 orange
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • About 1 cup ice cubes

Love this idea!! I put coffee in a smoothie and it was NOT good. Your recipe sounds like a much tastier way to get some caffeine along with all that other healthy goodness.

A little ginger in it would probably be good too. I used decaf tea tonight, but would definitely use regular in a morning smoothie.

I use green tea as a base for my green smoothies. It's lovely - adds a little something!

Did you use tea bags for the green tea part or matcha?
    Looks frothy and refreshing!
