Another new start.

I've been working at my new, much more sedentary job for the last 2 years, and have an extra 20 lbs to show for it. And I wanted to drop 20 lbs BEFORE that! So now I'm up to 40 lbs to lose, which is now serious business.
I have some limitations to what exercise I can do (I have a knee that I blew out, and after surgery it is holding itself together with chewing gum and paperclips). But I can do a little yoga, a little walking, and swimming.
I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I do love potatoes, pasta, and Japanese rice. I think those are my big 3 nemeses.
I love to cook, so I'm now experimenting with bulletproof/paleo recipes. Before this, I tried a juice fast (blerg - although I did drop 5 lbs) and Dukan (which worked REALLY well for my husband but just okay for me. I love meat AND vegetables so I did feel somewhat deprived on that diet on the "meat only" days.
