I don't log it and look at it as extra burn, baby =)

Then again, I also log that an hour of weight lifting or Zumba burns 1 calorie, so...

I never log cleaning. To me that's stuff your body is already accustomed to. Maybe mowing the lawn or something like that. Not doing dishes, mopping, etc. Just my opinion though. :)

I'll have to agree. I'm a SAHM of 3 little ones and have a husband, so I'm always moving around. However, I have my lifestyle set to lightly active because of it. To me it just sounds like "you" are giving yourself extra calories to eat in my opinion.

Eh, I log it (and cooking) if I need the extra calories. I have my lifestyle set as sedentary though, because it usually is. I don't clean everyday or cook... and I don't have a routine at the gym yet. Hasn't stopped me from losing weight yet!

I don't typically eat back my burned calories and when I log the cleaning, it's always less than 300 calories (since I don't log the entire time I've been cleaning), so even if I did eat it back it wouldn't be too much.

If you have your lifestyle set as lightly active because you clean... "you" are giving yourself extra calories to eat. Whether it is factored in to your TDEE or you leave TDEE at sedentary and add exercise in, the calories are accounted for. Only difference is that you add them in before you do the work. In my opinion.

Bottom line is, if you are logging it....and losing at the rate the system says you "should," its working. Don't worry what anyone else thinks. This whole process has to be based on what works for you because ALL of it is estimates.

I like this. Good point.
