Is MFP smart enough to not duplicate calories?

I've been syncing my fitbit with MFP for well over a year and I've been happy with the results. I recently purchased a garmin forerunner 220 for my outdoor activities and now I've also connected it to MFP.
Does anyone know how MFP decides what device info to count? I would imagine it would be smart enough not to duplicate activities that occur at the same time.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I would sync Garmin to Fitbit (not MFP) and Fitbit to MFP: https://www.fitbit.com/apps/fitdatasync
You can learn more in the Fitbit Users group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users0 -
Thanks!
