I do not, but it depends on your goals and how much margin of error you want to operate with.
I underestimate my exercise and overestimate my intake, so leave a very large buffer zone for errors in case my math is off. As I get closer to my goal I will have to tighten this up and increase the accuracy.0 -

how big peoples deficit is and how accurate they (have) to be also
For me it is very important to get potassium...and herbs and spices have quite a lot.
I agree that not everybody has to do this.
But when i see that i use easily 80 calories in herbs and spices. Than some cooking spray which says zero but it isnt so 56 calories
that is 136 calories not calculated...that is over 900 a week so in 5 weeks a whole pound (3600 calories) miscalculating
Now like i said it is different from person to person.
What herbs and spices are you using that total up to 80 calories in a day, just for you?
parsley green onions ( fresh) cilantro add up pretty quick
Here a morning logging of a fritata
Parsley - Raw, 0.5 oz(s) 5
Fresh - Cilantro, 40 g 9
Onions, young green, tops only, 50 g 14
Spices - Black Pepper (Ground), 1 g 3
Spices - Garlic powder, 1 g 3
Spices - Onion powder, 1 g(s) 3
Spices, curry powder, 1 g 3
That is 40 calories right there for breakfast
Like i said i use a lot of spices and herbs lol
And this is even without fresh garlic which is normally quickly 20 calories
Not to mention fresh oregano and basil and other Italian herbs

Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if I'd made some mistake, lol. You just use a lot more than I do. The pepper alone would do me in. I like spices, but not as much as you do.

I've seen you talk about spices before and I always wondered where you came up with the numbers. Now I know! I count fresh herbs/garlic/onion, but I just sprinkle in small amounts of dried (generally over a hot burner).

Yup. I log everything that I eat as best I can!0

I often do. Not so much because I worry about calories though. I figure someone might be looking at my diary for ideas and knowing what seasonings I used could inspire someone to try whatever it was that I made. I think using more herbs and spices is an important key to making healthy and flavorful meals that are calorie conscious and many people today don't know how or when to use them.0

yes that too I have a couple of reasons
1. i use them a lot so it adds up
2. it makes my dishes more complete for indeed members who look at my diary.
3. I need to know how much nutrition's i get ( potassium is high in most spices and herbs)
