Hi just wondering if anyone uses a vibration machine and do you find it effective?

I used it once as part of a group class. It was interesting I guess? I would never pay for the private training sessions to use them, nor would I go out of my way, but that's just me.
Is it effective? Well I suppose if you were not physically active before and now you are, then yes. Is it more effective than doing those same movements on a not vibrating surface? Probably not.
I'm also not sure the injury risks associated with them are, but considering that the only people endorsing those machines are celebrities, it seems more voodoo rainbow magic than actual science.0 -
I use the powerplates at the gym on a regular basis, but as part of my cooldwon and to get a massage to avoid injuries. I feel its been effective in this.
Is it an effecive calorie burner, dont think so plus you still have to do the exercise when using it. You cnat just sit on it and expect it to do all the work. Burning calories requires you to move. There is a small extra calorie burn associated with using them I think its c60 cals per hour. I would consider using them on a longer term basis, but am happy with seperate cardio and lifting at the moment.
I assume you mean these?

I skip, jog, and lift weights. With a balanced diet. That seems to have been extremely effective for me.0

I have no idea what a vibration machine is other than, well, you know, so my mind immediately went there.0

The Beach Boys found them to be good.0

I used to stretch on a power plate; it actually made a noticeable difference in my range of motion. I noticed better circulation after using it as well. I have chronically ice cold hands and feet and they improved slightly, but only after using the plate; it wasn't permanent.0

I use one quite frequently, actually. And I found it alot more effective than my ex boyfriend0 -
Vibration machines have been beneficial in the context of physiotherapy, there are also certain exercises that can be enhanced when done in conjunction with these machines but they are being grossly over hyped in the way they're being marketed as a way to get the equivalent of real exercise while the the user does little more than standing on it.
