Pounds "Lost"

MFP cheerfully proclaimed that I had lost xx pounds since my last weigh-in on my feed today. This got me thinking about the term "lost."

When you lose your car keys, a contact lens, or the family pet, you worry about where these things may have gone and hope that you will be reunited soon. In contrast, I don't care where those pounds went and I am certainly not looking for them. Me and those pounds...yeah, we're done.

So, they're not really lost are they? A better term is needed, so let's have some fun with it! What should we be saying instead of "lost?"

So many good ones! "Shed" was my initial thought. I like the aggressive ones: ditched, dumped, kicked to the curb, evicted, annihilated (extra points for spelling; that's a tough one!). Love terminated! Can't wait to see the new movie!

The polite "yes, we've parted ways indefinitely" is fantastic!

John gets the award for highest accuracy!

    Thank you all!
