Hello, well i've been reading a lot of articles on this online magazine, for women who lift, I'm in no way a competitor or anything but I am serious about it, I love lifting and I take care of my food etc, etc. So I do have one concern, I see some women tend to well,be super lean but also kinda flat in the chest area, I'm not super massive but I love my 36B and I'd like that to stick around,so I was wondering how low can BF% go before a woman starts losing them boobs?

I'm 5´4 ,130 lbs, weight is around... 58 kgs was last time. and BF% was around 23%
I do wanna get a flat stomach, maybe not the 6 pack, just like, nothing extra escaping the clothing would be awesome haha.

Thanks for answering

That depends on where you lose body fat. Most women are going to lose some from their breasts too, but you could be an exception. The good news is that you can decide what is most important to you. You can even get implants if it's really important to you.

How much of your breasts you lose has to do with how much breast tissue you have compared to fat. If you don't have much fat in your breasts you may not lose much even if you were at a very low level of body fat. The only way to know is to lose weight and see what happens. There's a chance you may have to pick between boobs and a flat stomach. I went from C's to A's, but the trade off was worth it to me.

Exactly. It's all personal because it'll depend on how much of your current boobs are fat rather than breast tissue. I apparently have dense breast tissue (according to the site that does my mammograms) and I've noticed that when I lose weight mine don't change much.

Hummm, implants,no way Jose, that's off the hook.
Well I did lose weight, already, but ..ok let me tell ya I was 78 kgs
now I am 58,used to be 52 but what with that muscle taking up less space and what not, and the breasts have been pretty much the same, they were the same size when i weighed 47 kilograms as well, although i have no idea of my BF% back then.

I was 36C when overweight, I wouldn't like to go from B to A, but I don't wanna be super ripped either just, a kind of flattish stomach would do...

I really hope I don't have to pick, I really like my boobs lol

Makes much sense, I ask cos well , a pro level of around 10% BF will for sure mean smaller breasts for like almost any woman methinks. Of course I'm not going near that.

I gained 10 pounds over a few months. The first 5 pound gain seemed to go to my lower body and the second 5 pound gain seem to go to my upper body. My boobs filled out so nice I couldn't believe it however, I lost my ab definition. I lost 5 pounds and my boobs shrunk right back to 34B BUT I got my abs back. I'd rather have the abs but it was nice to have those boobs again! I have no idea what the change in my body fat was because I don't monitor it.

It entirely depends on how much of your boobs is breast tissue versus fat.

Do your boobs get bigger when you gain weight? Mine don't. My belly outruns them instead. :) So I loose very little boobage, too. So far, the inch I've lost in my boob circumference has been...BACK FAT! lol. My boobs are bigger than the last time I was this size, actually. Generally, I put on fat in my boobs last. So I lose it there last.

Most professional bodybuilders maintain a body fat of around 14%, but there are still women who have enough breast tissue that they have breasts at a very low level of body fat. Mine disappeared when I got to around 21%.

My boobs are the first thing to go.

Luckily, I'm in the strange little minority of women who actually prefer their breasts to be small. I think I look off-balance when I'm heavier and my breasts are bigger. I personally don't feel attractive that way (to myself).

I got lucky, sort of I guess if you can call it that. Started out at a D cup. Lost 50+ but the boobs stayed the same. Sounds great but now I have to shop at a specialty store for bras because no regular store carries my size (32F). THAT's not so lucky because they ain't cheap.

My boobs don't change much whether I gain or lose - I wear the same bras whether I'm 160 lbs or 130, I just need to adjust the straps and bands a bit. If I start getting a little too bony in the chest, I just increase my calories.

Hummm..well they did get bigger with when I gained those 25 kgs, but they stayed the same through 47 to 58kgs so I'm guessing it won't change much... I do not intend to go lower than I dunno, 18% BF? so I guess that'd be fine, I'll see if I can get there first,no,not if,when. :3

Mos of my fat if not 90% of it it's around my belly -_- it's certainly annoying, but well, I'm working on it

It varies with everyone...but like it or not boobs are fat so its impossible to have very low body fat and big boobs. HOWEVER, I know some women that do certain exercises like chest press, actually can help with boobs (by making the muscles around the boobs stronger).

Well yeah,I work chest, legs, shoulders, etc I'm not one of those only legs ladies, as you see I don't strive for veeeery low BF so I guess in due time I will see how it goes
