I stay under my deficit but would going over my sugar limit make me gain weight?

No. At a calorie deficit you will lose weight.
Just don't eat so much sugar that you don't have enough calories left to get in your protein, fat, veggies etc.
If you are getting enough healthy food to meet your protein fat and vitamin/mineral targets, and are under or at your calorie target, you're doing great, regardless of whether you are over or under the sugar target.0 -

No. Don't track your sugars. Just worry about your macros and getting your vitamins for health through a balanced diet0
