Calorie goal

Hi, everyone! I'm new here and I would like to ask you about calorie goal. I'm a 19 year old student, my weight is 55 kg ( 30. 64% body fat ) and I stand at 4'11". I used the Katch-McArdle formula, but I'm confused with the activity factor.

The activity factor:
Sedentary = BMR X 1.2 (little or no exercise, desk job)
Lightly Active = BMR X 1.375 (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/wk)
Moderately Active = BMR X 1.55 (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/wk)
Very Active = BMR X 1.725 (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days/wk)
Extremely Active = BMR X 1.9 (hard daily exercise/sports & physical job or 2 X day training, full time training, etc.)

My questions: If I exercise 5 days/week, but when I don't workout I sit down a lot (because I'm a student), can I really be categorized as moderately active and my TDEE is that high? Is this formula even accurate? Or I'd just be better off with the calorie goal that MFP has set for me?

Thank you! Have a great day

Mfp goal has worked for me.

I think all those calculations are estimates, so there won't be 100% accurate and may require some fiddling.

I would suggest setting mfp to sedentary since your sitting a lot and logging your exercise and eating back like 50% of what you burn.
