Calories and sodium

Calorie deficit helps weight loss. Too much sodium causes water weight gain.
Some foods are low in calories yet high in sodium and some are high in calories and low in sodium.
Question:
When you need more calories (several hundred) and it's near the end of the day but your sodium is already at max, what do you eat? I don't think iceberg lettuce will be enough to meet a calorie requirement.

What about nuts, obviously the unsalted, or higher calorie fruit like banana etc

You got me. Maybe some apples? Some potato?

Sodium is a bear...or another thing that starts with B.

It's really difficult to get it under control,e specially if you're eating packaged stuff. I had to start making a lot of my own to food to get the sodium into control. I just couldn't do it without making things myself.

    Good luck to you.

What's max sodium? If you're going by the 2300mg MFP limit, you're actually going off of the 'minimum recommended'.

Are you watching sodium for health reasons or just because of the water weight? If it's the latter, I just wouldn't worry about it so much. It will just be water-it'll go away. Personally I have to go WAY over sodium to notice any bloat/temporary gain.
