Low heart rate

So I know y'all aren't professionals but..pretty smart people I think. I've been eating more healthy and doing cardio, my bicycling ability has gone from 10mph average to 15 average so that's really good. But my resting heart rate was about 80 before I started, and now it's about 60, sometimes 58ish. I don't feel any dizzyness or heart issues, but I'm just curious if ya'll think it's ok?

That's perfect. That means your heart loves what you're doing. Great work!0

Well some of us are. As long as you are feeling well then that is fine. My resting HR is normally in the 50s but gets as low as 45 at times. It takes a few minutes on my warm up walk to get it over 100.0

Yeah as others have said, with resting heart rate lower is better. That means your heart is now stronger so it doesn't have to take extra beats to move your blood around. i know on the fitbit FAQ it says 60-80 is normal and for fitter people it's lower.0

That's awesome!! Don't be worried at all. My hubby is an avid cyclist both mountain and road and he would test his heart rate first thing in the morning to track his fitness progress.
I just had minor surgery a few weeks ago and my BP was 100/60. I had 4 different people take my BP over the course of the day and they all asked if I ran marathons. Never!! I told them once the needles and anesthesia starts zooming around the room I might get whoozy. The nurse said "well you're skinny and probably don't eat a lot."
Edited to add, because MFP always cuts off text when I use emoticons...
I wanted to say "lady, I bet I out eat you any day! I'm fit not skinny!!!0 -
