How often to do cardio?

I know losing weight is all about the deficit, but how often should I be doing cardio to aid in the loss?

    I think it boils down to personal preference and goals.

    I run three times a week because that is what my schedule allows for.

    Do you plan on eating your exercise calories back?

    I would suggest eating back only 50-60% of the calories burned. The burn estimates tend to be very over inflated.

    Another question. I've heard so many different methods, I do HIIT three times per week. Is that good?

    When I was first losing, I was doing about 10-30 minutes, 4x per week. It started to decrease to absolutely zero by the time I hit my goal weight. I'm now in a deficit again and I did 4 minutes this week. I think I might try to lose without it. 30 min. per week tops.

    When I do it, I do 5 minute warm up, 20 minute actual HIIT and 5 minute cool down.
