My foods

Is there any way to create your own barcode scan option when adding foods under the "my foods"? I would like to be able to scan something and have it link to my entry.

Not really. You'd have to get a manufacturer code from the standards body in your country than handles retail barcodes. That's an expensive thing to do.
In the US that's http://www.gs1us.org/.

That's a bummer. I've noticed that most of the entries brought up by barcode scan are inaccurate.0

True. I often have to double check when using scans. On my app, there is a option when scanning to search for a different match. I think MFP is supposed to use that info to determine if the mapping is wrong and flag it for changing, but I don't think works very well.0
