How to gain weight

i am trying to gain weight but I have tried some ways but thy do no seem to be working because I have lost 3 pounds instead of gaining weight. Can anyone give me a few tips.

    Hi, so first of all what exactly is your goal, other than just adding lbs to the scale? Do you want to gain muscle too? Numbers are important. So it starts out with your height, weight, age, activity level. Using a TDEE calculator you can figure out your maintenance daily caloric intake, but My fitness pal conveniently does for you, however you can always adjust your daily numbers yourself if this does not suit you. Once you do that, you to +250 to your total calories and try that for about a month. If no results, then add another 250 and keep adding 250 until you see results. I'd have to see what you're eating on a daily basis, but I highly recommend you try small meals and shakes throughout the day and not your typical 3 meals a day deal. I also recommend you take in calories via liquid if you have a hard time eating lots of food in one day. Worked for me! Anyways send me a private message if you want more advice on this. Good luck!

    Oh and for anyone that disagrees with my suggestion, I'm not an expert and don't claim to be I'm just sharing what I've learned and experienced, if you have information that's more useful than mine that's great :)
