Alma is of Latin, Italian, Hebrew and Arabic origin, and the meaning of Alma is "nourishing, kind; soul; young woman; learned". I like name and word etymology and Alma is one of my favorites as a name, not because of what it means. Peripatetic is one of my favorite words. it means traveling from place to place but I like how it sounds.
