    Basically, it's just flexible dieting.

You eat whatever you want, as long as it fits your macros. However, don't use this as an excuse to just pig out and eat junk all day. Eat foods high in micronutrients, and then indulge in those which aren't - chocolate cake, ice cream ;)

I do; like @IsaackGMOON said it is pretty much flexible eating/dieting. You have a specific number of macros you try to hit and you can eat what you like, "if it fits your macros" like the namesake acronym says. That is, Fat, Carbs, and Protein. There are several calculators out there and you can play around with the numbers if you're confident enough.

This means, if I want to have a burger and fries, I can because it'll fit my macros- HOWEVER it'll use up most if not all of my fat macros as well as probably half my carbs and only a small amount of my protein, so I don't like to blow so many macros in one go.

It makes more sense to do that kind of thing on occasion unless you have a lot more to lose or have an amazing metabolism already.

Here's some info on flexible dieting from my cousin who is a certified personal trainer and competes in physique competititions; he has some great info and offers help too: http://www.btefit.com/blog/flexible-dieting-and-the-8020-guideline

    You pick your macros

Then you follow your own plan

People associate that as eating junk food for some reason. Not sure why.

I set my macros for fewer carbs and more protein. I follow my macros of choice

So I am doing the same as anyone else that follows their macros

Seems a strange topic that people often argue about.

Good luck with whatever you choose!
