I would appreciate some opinions on this I work night shift 7 pm to 7 am three or four nights a.week I track what I eat before I leave for work as my breakfast and my meal at work usually at around 3 am as dinner but I'm wondering if I should track on more of a regular schedule midnight to midnight I wonder if it matters how I track. Thoughts?

I track from when I get up to when I go to bed. So if I go to bed at 2 AM, and eat after midnight, it goes on the previous day's log.

Doesn't matter as long as you're consistent. Do whatever is easiest for you. If you try midnight to midnight you could try changing the meal names to times, to keep it more organized.

It shouldn't matter as long as everything gets logged.

Whatever works best for you so you know where you stand at all times when you are awake.

I had trouble with this as well since I also work nights. Personally, I prepare all my food for work and log it ahead of time. Even if I do a 6p-7a shift, I log my salad and food as my dinner and eat it around 2am. Basically, my "day" is from when I wake up to when I go to sleep.
That being said, I have a coworker who uses something similar to MFP and prefers to make anything after midnight a new day. The only reason I don't is it winds up being more confusing to me.

As long as you are consistent, it doesn't really matter. My wife works nightshift (RN) to. What she does is log the meal at work as the next day's lunch. She gets up at 2 and has breakfast. She eats dinner before she goes to work. Lunch is already logged from the night before. When she comes off a shift, she usually eats breakfast and dinner. Then she's caught back up being on a day schedule when she's off.
