Aerobic activity that does not involve knee

I know it's a long shot but I torn my meniscus and I am not willing to just sit around and do nothing. Is there any type of aerobic activity I can do to increase my heart rate without using my knees? Also, does anyone think it would be okay to do leg exercises that do not involve bending the knee or would even that hurt that area? I am waiting on the MRI so I am not sure how bad I hurt it. Thanks!!

Go to youtube and search for "chair aerobics". I used to do several of them.

If you have access, a Krankcycle or rope pull machine would give you a good cardio workout with no lower body involvement.

I used both when I had a badly sprained ankle, and they definitely got my heart rate up.

As far as leg exercises...you might try leg lifts. They don't require bent knees.

Do you have any hand weights? You could use them for boxing punches....really anything upper body that will get your heart rate up will do.
