Where to Find Cheap Knee High Socks for Running?

I got a cute new running skirt and would like to complete the look with some knee high socks, but I'm not sure where to find them.
Do you need compression type socks so they will stay up or will regular knee highs stay up?
Looking online it seems like 15-35+ dollars for a single pair of knee high socks is quite common, can you find them cheaper?
Any places for getting cheap, but stay up running, knee high socks (in Canada)?
