Fears about the journey

I fear losing my security blanket of fat. At the same time, my desire to be healthy and strong and thinner and to wear cute clothes far outweighs my fear. So I won't give up on my goals. I will be my best self. I will believe in me. I will be strict and serious with humor and forgiveness.0

I fear that I will never get rid of my inner fat girl. Sometimes I will stop and look in the mirror and still see her and it is hard to get rid of that other person living in you. I still try on bigger clothes sometimes and am surprised I can fit in things that are smaller. I still have some to lose but it is hard to shake that fat girl complex.0

My biggest fear is regaining.
I've lost weight before (never this much though) and obviously regained it all back. Several times.
But, as cliche as this sounds, this time is different. I'm active. I feel healthy. I'm going to keep setting goals to reach even after I'm done losing weight. I'm going to weigh at least once a week to keep tabs on where I am. Basically, I have a plan instead of just going back to the way things used to be.
But even with the plan, the regaining fear is still there. I'm planning on having kids someday. I know that pregnancy, especially one with complications, always comes with some weight gain.0 -
Just looked it up and I was wrong. I'm sorry, I should've looked it up before I posted. ><0 -
I lost weight while I was in college, and I was very conflicted when I started because I thought that a big part of my identity was defined by being the chubby/curvy (depending on how my self-esteem was doing on that particular day) girl. It was 100% a defense mechanism -- a "you can't hurt my feelings when you call me fat if I already call myself fat!" thing. I finally realized that I could always go back if I didn't like how I looked at a lower weight, and it got rid of that particular fear. I was just trying something new, and if it didn't get me to a place I liked, I could try something else.0

I've looked into this and was told that it is not a possibility.
Too bad--I only have loose skin in one place and it would be a nice big single piece.0
