I actually heard strength training is the best for you, helps you lose fat and maintain muscle, something like that, from personal experience it worked best for me.0

i lost 90lbs primarily through diet and lifting.
if you're saying, can you lift and not do cardio, then certainly...but what you eat is still the most important factor.0 -
weight management is a about diet...lifting will help preserve your muscle mass so that when you cut the fat (diet) you will look better than had you not done any resistance training.
I lift 3x weekly and I ride a good 60 - 80 miles per week and squeeze in a 5K or two every week...plus I walk my dog and am just generally active...I've lost weight, maintained weight, and gained weight doing all of those things; the difference between those weight management goals wasn't lifting or riding or exercise in general...it was how much I was eating.0 -
