Am I sedentary or lightly active

According to MFP descriptions, because I sit at a desk all day, my activity level would be sedentary. However, I average about 14k steps a day ... walk 6-7 times a week, 2 personal training sessions (30 minutes each) per week. I'm sitting most of the day and aren't getting most of my exercise until the evening. Does this still qualify as sedentary? Fitbit shows me as lightly active.

I'm 256 lbs. and working on losing the weight. I'd appreciate input from anyone who has been my weight and has a desk job and a similar type of situation. Thanks!!

Typically you would put sedentary because of your job then log the exercise you do form walking separately.

What are you using to track your steps?

MFP doesn't include exercise. They expect you to log it separate. I would set it to lightly active on account of the steps and log your personal training sessions.
Or you could set to sedentary and log the walking and personal training.
I suspect they would put you in the same ball park anyway.

If (and only if) you enable negative calorie adjustments in your diary settings, choosing an activity level when using Fitbit + MFP is a matter of personal preference: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

Increasing your activity level gives you more calories to start with and smaller adjustments. But you're always eating TDEE minus deficit.
