Has your doctor said you need more iron? If not, please do not take a supplement. Iron is one of the vitamins that can be dangerous if you have too much of it.

You can add cereal to your diet....most of it is iron fortified.

Here is a list of foods that have good amount of iron in them. Eat and be happy. http://www.redcrossblood.org/learn-about-blood/health-and-wellness/iron-rich-foods

Eat anymore than this and you will rust away

A lot of nutritional labels do not include data for iron content so chances are you are getting more than you think.

If you are concerned about low iron levels, get some blood work done to check.

My iron intake according to MFP is always less than 50%, but my blood work is always perfect. I wouldn't worry about it unless your doctor mentions it to you.

If you're really worried, a bowl of Grapenuts cereal is something like 90% of your daily iron requirement.

Breakfast cereals are a wonderful way to increase iron. The ones with lots of iron generally have good amounts of fiber, too,

Cooking on cast iron is helpful, but not really loggable.

I wouldn't start supplementing unless the doctor suggested it. If he does suggest it, ask about supplements and pooping. I had a heck of a time with pooping when I took the iron supplements and didn't adjust for pooping. :)

Talk to your doctor and find out where your iron levels are at. If you are using MyFitnessPal to track iron, it may be inaccurate. Micronutrients are often not reported correctly through the site. If it's important that you track iron, use http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods to get more accurate data.

As previous poster stated ...do NOT look for an iron supplement. Most of those have way over 100% of the RDA. These really should be limited to a Dr's prescription.

If you take a multi - check to see if it contains any iron at all. All vitamins that do contain iron will have a child proof cap. I take Centrum Silver....it's at about 40%

Prepared cereals are often iron fortified. Vitamin C helps with absorption.

Have you ever donated blood? It's easy (and so helpful). They will test your hemoglobin levels. Low levels = anemic. Anemic means you go to the doctor & have your iron checked.
