My two year old suunto m2 isn't giving me me a correct hr reading. I have changed both batteries and washed the strap. Help! Is it time for a new watch?

I had the M2, and then upgraded to the M5 simply for the back light.
How are you sure it's not giving you a correct HR reading?0 -
When I am working at my hardest it goes down to 68 and never over 100 when previousky my hr was 140 doing same exercise. It also displays - -0

Try resetting it completely.
Do your exercise, take your HR manually and see if it matches the HRM. If not, the HRM isn't working.0
