I think I've been over eating, do I just carry on as normal?

I've been dieting for 43 days and exercising on a stationary bike for nearly two weeks now and have lost 3 lbs (might have lost more since today is my weigh in day but haven't done it yet). For most of those days I've only been weighing my food with a mechanical scale which of course isn't accurate enough, so I've been guesstimating a lot of food and have probably been eating more than my 1200 cals a day.
My new digital scales arrived yesterday and I weighed some chicken that I usually have for lunch and it was a few grams over what I'd been logging it. So I've been over eating and I don't know by how much. Is that why I have only lost 3 lbs? Should I just carry on like I was?
I'm female, 5'3", 135 lbs down from 138 lbs and my goal is 112 lbs.

Don't give up! There are so many reasons you could only lost three pounds. Too many calories in by mistake, water weight from using muscles. The list goes on and on. Look at the positive: you are making an effort to change your lifestyle, you're more active, and you WANT to be a healthier you. Keep at it. Never give up Hon. It may be slow going at first, because everyone's body reacts differently, but your efforts will win out in the end. Good luck!!0

Half a pound a week is still a good rate of loss. But yes, it's most likely due to inaccurate logging without a digital scale. Once you start using your new scale regularly, you should start to see a difference!0

You have 23 lbs to go, so .5 lb/week is a good clip. Tightening up your logging will likely increase your weight loss, esp for those high calorie foods. An inaccuracy in measuring spinach is less than an inaccuracy in measuring cheese, for example.
Good luck and keep the course!0 -

The less you have to lose, the more slowly it comes off—that's just the way the human body works. A healthy, sustainable loss is .5 lb. per week for every 25 lbs. you're overweight. So you're doing much better than you think you are.
Hands down, the best weight-loss advice I ever received was to read the Sexypants post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p10
